There’s always great costumes at the SDCC and this year was no exception. Here are some of our favorite cosplays from the 2019 San Diego Comic Con.
Comics
This Constantine looked spot-on. He even had a bag of tools for the job.
This one is cosplayed by Maggie Marvelous , who is an absolute sweetheart.
The perfect response to the Christian protesters at the convention. The other side of his sign said “Tony loves you 3000.”
Technically this Joker is from the The Batman animated series, but since he was originally a comic book character, here we are.
Here’s Taskmaster and Deadpool having a bit of fun.
Venom sure looks scary with those massive teeth!
It’s not easy to pull off a good Juggernaut cosplay, but this guy sure did.
Oddly both Riddlers I saw at the convention were female.
Movies
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice family cosplay!
This young wizard has a promising future.
You can’t have a convention without Star Wars cosplay.
It doesn’t get more fabulous than this stormtrooper.
Speaking of fabulous, it’s hard not to love this great BB-8 dress.
We already mentioned those Christian protesters, but this Vader is the forgiving type, offering them free throat hugs.
We’re all mad here, or at least you become crazy after dealing with the crowds.
When the Queen says “off with her head, she means it!”
Looks like someone escaped from L.A. only to come to sunny San Diego.
Cartoons
Steampunk Tinkerbelle? Yes, please!
Meg’s dress looked even better here than it did in the movie.
I have seen far too few Monster High cosplays.
There simply aren’t enough Rainbow Brite costumes in this world.
This couple looked adorable as the characters from Over the Garden Wall.
Don’t have a costume but have a lot of hair spray? Consider going as a Troll doll.
TV Shows
Easily one of the most popular costumes this year was the Scoop’s Ahoy uniform.
What do you call a Klingon and Ferengi who go on vacation together? Just another cosplaying couple at the 2019 San Diego Comic Con!
Game of Thrones may be over, but there were still tons of cosplayers fighting for the Iron Throne.
These three beauties looked fabulous in their Game of Thrones costumes.
Ultra realistic mask-makers HyperFlesh were here to promote their creations with Prison Mike and Dwight masks
Video Games
I’ve never seen a Minute Man at Comic Con
This Mass Effect makeup looked fantastic!
There’s always a few Chun Lis at the con, but it’s always nice to see a group cosplay.
This is certainly a cute take on the Kingdom Hearts game.
All bow down to Queen Boswer!
Pikachu is always adorable and this is no exception.
Others and Groups
Never thought I’d see the day when Broadway made its way to Comic Con, but anything can happen during a 50th anniversary I guess.
She-Ra and Xena sure look great together, even if they don’t quite fit together in the same universe.
How can anyone be sad with Bob Ross around? Especially when he’s decked out for the con with a little Rocket Racoon on his shoulder and a Deadpool mask in his pocket.
Steven Universe and the Jedi Dude certainly look good together.
It’s always good to see Prince. RIP.
Unknown
Here’s your turn to identify all the cosplays from the 2019 San Diego Comic Con that I don’t actually recognize!
This dragon is awesome, but what is he from?
Is this Gregorian dress up from something in particular or just another delightful anachronistic dress?
I love all the incredible details in this costume -even the ruffles are adorned with skulls, sadly, I don’t know where it’s from!
Yes the character on the right is Pennywise, but who is the character on the left with a Joker fish, Thor’s hammer and a Pikachu hat?
This is a fun genderswapped cosplay, but who is he dressed as?
That’s certainly Freddy Mercury on the right, but who is the woman on the left portraying with that gorgeous floral dress and headpiece?
We’ve obviously got a female Shazaam on the left, but I’m not sure about the decidedly pirate-looking lass on the right.
Many people will undoubtedly recognize Master Roshi from Dragon Ball, but who is the awesomely armored guy beside him?
One final group where I recognize one but not the other. We have Bram Stoker’s Dracula on the left, but who is the woman on the right?
She’s got a spear and gills, those should be some big clues!
If you like a girl with a big gun, you’ll enjoy this cosplay, but do you recognize it?
This costume is seriously epic with its light-up details, but I regret I don’t recognize it.
This kind of looks like a modern take on She-Ra, but I’m not sure. Can you confirm or deny this?
I love this magical wizard costume, but I don’t recognize it, do you?
I’ve been told these two are from a BMX movie, but I don’t know which one. How about you?
