This adorable baby outfit was created by Craftster user UpKnitCreek. She made it for a friend’s baby shower. The shoes even have sewn-in leather soles.
Man do I hope I have this talented and geeky of friends by the time I have a baby.

I’m a huge fan of Halloween, so I was thrilled when I saw this amazing Halloween costume on Flickr. The Birds is a great movie and this is a great look.
You know I always bring you great Comic Con coverage and to that end, here is a huge gallery of costumes from this year’s convention.
The one on the left was a booth babe and the girls on the right were best friends ever taking on The Fifth Element.
Here’s Astro Boy’s stilted nemesis and two necromancers from The Venture Brothers.
There were more great steam punk outfits this year than ever before. And, there was also this one really great Rainbow Brite costume.
Boo had a great costume.
This girl was helping to promote the Girls Drawing Girls booth and her costume was just adorable.
Here were some pros. The girls had a bit of an attitude, but Catwoman and Batman were great.
I loved this girl’s outfit. As for the gentleman on the right…I don’t even know what to say.
Here were two great couple costumes. If only Luke wasn’t on the phone at the time.
These costumes were just plain cute. I love how the one on the left was actually inflated and as for Pikachu, I’m always a huge fan.
Uh oh, sexy princess time! Thank goodness Super Domo is here to protect us.
The Nixon costume was just perfect and the blurriness on the Scarecrow costume actually had me thinking I was falling under his trance for a second.
Dalek girl was very cute and clever. And you know what? I found Waldo with no trouble!
Sand people love boobs! (Then again, who doesn’t?)
If Wonder Woman wasn’t busy taking so many pictures, she may have been able to help this guy get the face sucker off, but alas, it was not meant to be.
Loved the Heroes booth girls -especially the fact that they gave away a car. As for the Sponge Bob girl, she was absolutely one of my favorites!
The Japanese super heroes were fantastic, but this bionic man was just scary.
Three, count them, three Princess Peaches! What luck!
Another great steam punk girl and on the right, Captain Morgan and Tits McGee.
Zombie attack…if only this guy got there in time.
I don’t know where this big yellow guy was from, but he was freaking adorable…so was the girl, but not in the same way at all.
Super group ahead!
Ravers were back this year, why, I don’t know. The woman on the right actually makes clothes for people and their matching Barbies! What luck!
Beatlejuice Beatlejuice Boobiejuice…wait.
Funny how the goth girls look like The Crow, without even trying.
This girl’s dress was made by grandma…how sweet.
One of these things is not like the other…
This costume rocks. Thanks Gigglesugar.
Our laptop has been in the shop, so we should start getting more Comic-Con updates in the next few days, but for the time being, perhaps you would like to see a round up of some of the other sites that covered the convention.
Wired has a great collection of tattoos at Comic-con.
The Official Star Wars blog owes it to its readers to have the best Star Wars costumes at the convention.
Joystiq has a variety of costumes, some of which I posted, others I didn’t even see.
CinemaBlend also has some I posted and some I didn’t notice. It’s insane to try to get every costume there -possibly impossible.
Yahoo has a very nice costume gallery. Be sure to see the whole thing.
And lastly, I Am Bored has 13 great pics.
There’s this silly stereotype that girls at Comic Con are fat, pimply, wear glasses and are otherwise just icky. That image is not only sexist and stupid, but grossly inaccurate. In fact, there are some amazingly HOT girls there. I didn’t even picture a third of the good looking girls I saw there and I still got some pictures of great looking girls that definitely defy the stupid preconceived notion of the ugly geek girl being the only female at Comic Con.
Of course, that’s not to say there weren’t total l00zers at the Con, don’t you worry, those pics are coming soon, as are some great interviews and some pics of the merch, etc. But for now, satisfy your sweet tooth with these little bits of sugar. (Again, click for larger images.)
Comic Con this year was awesome and it was a thrill to document all the cool junk going on. While there will be a few posts, including some awesome interviews, this post will be all about the costumes of Comic Con. Keep reading in the future so you can see the coolest Comic Con merch, the hottest comic con girls, interviews with writer of the upcoming animated movie Igor, Emily the Strange’s creator, The Fairly Odd Parent’s creator and more!
The costumes vary from dorky to awesome to lazy to sexy and everywhere in between. Just take a look for yourself. Be sure to click on any you like to see the full image.
If you have any questions or comments, please leave them, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
